The 16th Pana-ad sa Negros Festival will once again bring together the 13 cities and 19 towns of the Province of Negros Occidental in one exciting event of the year. The Pana-ad sa Negros Festival 2009, the biggest festival in Negros Ocidental and dubbed as the “Festival of Festivals” will be celebrated on April 18 to 25, 2009 at the Panaad Park and Stadium in Brgy. Mansilingan, Bacolod City, Philippines.

The Pana-ad sa Negros 2009 Festival will be colorful and jubilant since all the cities and towns of the Province of Negros Occidental Philippines will once again present and showcase their history, arts and culture, tourism, commerce, trade and industry in one big event. The festival will be celebrated in one week with lots of excitement and fun. This festival will feature all the the various products of the Province of Negros Occidental such as the fresh oysters of Hinigaran puto from Manapla, Danggit from Sagay, Fresh vegetables from Don Salvador Benedicto and many more.

The 16th Pana-ad sa Negros Festival 2009 will highlight the Lin-ay sang Negros, a beauty pageant competition between all the festivals of Negros Occidental Philippines where it highlight the beauties of the women of this province.

This year, the Pana-ad sang Negros Festival will showcase the best of Negros Occidental again since this festival was judged as the country’s “Best Tourism Event-Provincial Festival Category” by the Department of Tourism (DOT) in Ocober 2004.

The Pana-ad sa Negros Festival is the “Mother of all Festival”. The Pana-ad is Hiligaynon for a vow and its fulfillment. This festival is a thanksgiving of celebration for the blessings received from God Almighty as well as a showcase of the best of Negros Occidental.
