Palawan Philippines: Dive Link Resort in Uson Island Coron

Dive Link Island Resort is your best start-off point to a thrilling Palawan adventure. It is the perfect jump-off point for those who want to dive the World War II wrecks in Coron, Black Island, Popototan Island, the Bintuan Coral gardens and Coron’s little-known coves teeming with marine life.

Accommodations come in cottages that are named after the fruit-bearing trees that can be found in the resort. There are 7 bungalow cottages, 4 executive garden suites with 1 room and lounge, 1 large family cottage on the hill that has 3 rooms and 5 room family cottages atop a hill on the western end of the resort. All have air conditioning unit, hot and cold shower and balconies overlooking the Coron waterways.

Dining at the resort is provided by the Coconut Grove Restaurant. Diners can set and watch the dive boats and fishing vessels go by in the morning and watch the birds come back to roost at dusk. The meals are served in the large pavilion atop the resort. Lunch is a la carte while breakfast and dinner is served buffet style.

A swimming pool below the pavilion is designed with scuba diving in mind. Guests who are still learning the ropes can have their lessons or do some practice dives in the pool before setting out to open sea. On certain nights or whenever the guests wishes, dinner can be served by the pool. The Water’s Edge Bar serves refreshing drinks while guests enjoy the tropical sun. Beside the pool is the Frangie Panie Wellness Spa. It offers Thai, Sweddish and Shiatsu massage. The spa also has a wide selection of aromatherapy oils that guests can choose from. Other services offered are hand, back, foot and whole body massages. The resort also has an internet room with personal computers for guests who can’t get away from their work. Dive Link offers an extensive banca tour of Coron and its lagoons complete with snorkeling atop a shipwreck and lunch served buffet-style.

Dive Link Resort can be reached by air (Seair or Asian Spirit) from Manila to Busuanga Airport. Land transfer to Coron town is by jeep shuttle service. Guests can also take the Superferry or Negros Navigation from Manila to Coron, Palawan.
