Palawan Philippines: Club Paradise Resort in Dimakya Island, Coron

Club Paradise Resort is set upon a coral jewel set amidst the sparkling waters of Palawan. The Island is part of the Calamian group of islands where possibilities are blissful, endearing and endless.
The resort’s accommodations are divided into three phases: Sunrise Beach, Sunset Beach and Island View. Phases 1 and 2 is a modern version of the Filipino bahay kubo and phase 3 are apartment-type rooms and suites. All the rooms are equipped with modern facilities and amenities for the guests’ convenience.
Club Paradise Clubhouse is one activity center where guests can find the front desk, guest services center, library, video room, indoor games room and the business center. The Dugong Bar is the resort’s main bar which offers a wide variety of wines, liquors, cocktails and special mixed beverages. It is open from 7 am until the last guest leaves. Jungle bar is open from 5 pm to 10 pm and offers different kinds of cocktails. It is a secluded native style bar. The videoke room is where guests can sing their hearts out. it is free of charge and advanced reservation is required. There are no TV sets in the resort rooms but the resort has a satellite TV room where guests can get the latest updates of the outside world of the resort and around the world. The resort’s swimming pool is available anytime. It has a depth of 4 to 6 feet. Other activities center of the resort is the Dugong Dive Center, Aqua Sports Center, Crab Shop, Little Nature Museum and the Doctor’s clinic.

The Club Paradise restaurant offers sumptous Filipino, Asian and International cuisine which is usually served buffet style. The restaurant is also the venue for the Katutubong Sayaw cultural presentation and other functions. At Kamalig Restaurant, guests can enjoy a wide variety of wines, liquors and cocktail drinks.
Swimming, surfing, snorkeling, diving, sailing, paddling, fishing, hiking, stargazing, sunset cruising and bird watching are only some activities that will keep the guests occupied. The resort’s guest officers have programmed activities such as cultural chows, environmental shows, indoor tournaments such as table tennis, billiards and darts, group board games, ballroom and disco dancing, parties, and other fun activities both of kids and adults. Picnic lunches, sunset dinners, cocktails, and cruises can also be arranged depending on prevailing sea and weather conditions. Tours like Calauit Safari tour, Coron Island tour, bottom fishing, island hopping tour and island escapade can also be arrange.
Club Paradise Resort is centrally located in a known scuba diving area. the reef surrounding the island, known as the house reef which is a favorite site because of easy access and its abundant fish life. Next to the house reef is a known feeding ground for green turtles and the dugong (sea cow). Another prime dive site, the Japanese freighter Kyokuzan Maru, can be reached within 30 minutes from the resort. Moreover, with “M/V Karen Claire”, divers can go to Apo Reef Natural Park, a world-class diving destination, or to the westernside of Busuanga where there is good number of wrecks from World War II.
After a day under the tropical sun, guests can come to the Island Spa to take advantage of the music of the waves, the sounds of nature and the smell of burning insense and essential oils. The products used are organic and proudly Filipino- made, distinctly mixed and blended into unique scents and remedies. A signature product is the Island Spa Virgin Coconut Oil, highly recommended for deeply relaxing body treatments. Some of the services offered are body massage, body scrub, body bath, hand and foot, face and hair.
The resort can be reached from Manila through a one hour flight to Busuanga via SEAIR, Asian Spirit, Philippine Airlines and Cebu Pacific or a 12-hour cruise to Coron. From Coron pier, there will be a one hour jeepney ride to YKR Airport in Busuanga. Upon reaching Busuang Island, there will be a 30 minute jeepney ride followed by a scenic 30- minutes boat ride.
