Plantation Bay Resort is set in an eleven hectare property and is one of the largest privately-owned waterways in the world. With colonial plantation architecture, guests are invited to relax and unwind in the healing tranquility of an environment that truly feels “away from it all”. Whether traveling for a family vacation, romantic getaway, for business or pleasure, Plantation Bay resort has everything to offer you. Tipping is not allowed in the resort. Guests can receive the highest standard of service without having to worry about how much and when to give tips.

The accommodations at the resort are charmingly furnished with plantation-style furniture, oil paintings and accessories with all the modern comforts and conveniences like remote-controlled TV, mini bar, electronic room safe, air-conditioning, private toilet and bath with separate shower and deep tub, hair dryer as well as telephone with bath room extension.

For fine dining experience, there are four restaurants in the resort. The Palermo is an Italian restaurant that is built in the style of a country courtyard. Kilimanjaro Kafe is open 24 hours and the coffee shop is surrounded by the swimming pool. The cafe features International and Filipino favorites, a special children’s menu and the famous breakfast buffet with different culinary themes each week. The Fiji Restaurant is located by the hotel’s beachfront. Fiji offers both air-conditioned and alfresco dining. It serves Asian cuisine and is open for lunch and dinner. The Savanah Grill offers fast food favorites with the famous Powerhouse Burger. It is open daily except on Tuesdays at 10am to 9pm.

Sports and leisure activities at the resort are tailored to keep the guests happy and occupied. Aqua rides like motor boats, outriggers, inter-island cruises, jet skies, water skiing, banana boats, hobie cats, kayaks, Nips floating couch and para-sailing are available.  Children’s activities are also available like fishing for real live garoupa, fish-feeding, boat-racing, sand-castle building, face and t-shirt painting and many organized kids’ activities like bubble making and the seal program. When Moms need a break, the friendly resort staff at the Children’s Center or shaded outdoor playground will keep them entertained for hours. In case of emergency, the resort has a nurse and a doctor on duty and the resort is only ten minutes away from the nearest hospital. Plantation Bay has enough water features to keep guests happy. There are three swimming pools, water slides of all shapes and lengths, mist caves, whirlpools, volcano fountains, bubble- benches, rainmakers, waterfalls and saltwater lagoons. The resort also has a gym that will keep health enthusiasts happy. Adjacent to the gym is the game room where two billiard tables, table games and computer games invites guests to a pleasant respite from the tropical sun. There is also an indoor firing range, archery facilities, wall-climbing, golf pitch and putt, lawn tennis courts and beach volleyball courts. A round of golf can be arranged at the nearby golf course.

Plantation Bay is accredited as a PADI 5-Star Gold Palm resort and features an underwater cave, walls and reefs offshore. The PADI dive courses that are offered are discover scuba, intro to scuba diving course, scuba diver course, open water course, scuba upgrade to open water course, adventure diver course, rescue diver, dive master, medic first aid course, nitrox diver course, peak performance buoyancy course, night diving, naturalist course and drift diver course. Scuba diving services for licensed scuba divers are also available as well as equipment rentals.

Plantation Bay Resort is located just twenty minutes away from the airport and one hour away from Cebu City.

    Cool review!!! I’ve always been a spa lover ever since! Health conscious kuno! lol.

    Anyway, if you are a spa addict like me, I guess you’d love to check out this site where it contains some of the Philippines best spa’s (with tel number and addy!)
