Philippine as World Class Ecotourism Destination

Philippines ecotourism is varied and unlimited. That is why there are groups of who wanted to promote Philippines as ecotourism destination. These groups are the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR), Department of Tourism (DoT), ABS-CBN Foundation, Inc.’s Bantay Kalikasan, and Conservation International Philippines. These group has already agreed to work together for the promotion of the “Magandang Pilipinas”, a project that will boost up the country’s ecotourism and as a world-class ecotourism destination.

Yahoo! Travel Listed Boracay as World’s Most Popular Beach

The beautiful island of Boracay in Aklan topped the list of the World’s Most Popular Beach according to Yahoo! Travel. Also in the list is Cebu Philippines which grabs the number three (3) spot. These two magnificent islands are found in the Visayas.

Hawaiian Airlines’ First Asian Destination is Manila Philippines

America’s 2007 top airline in quality ratings and Hawaii’s first and largest airline is offering non-stop flights from Honolulu to Manila. Manila Philippines is the first Asian destination of Hawaiian Airlines (HA) starting on April 14. This was announced by the The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) and was also stated in their website (www.dfa.gov.ph). Hawaiian Airlines (HA) has already completed all US and Philippine government formalities and logistical requirements.

1st Russian Kiteboarding Camp in Boracay Philippines

Philippines has attracted travelers and adventurers around the globe because of diving, trekking, surfing, biking, wakeboarding water sports and now there is another water sport that the Philippines should have a fresh look, the kiteboarding. Kiteboarding could be the next water sports phenomenon in the Philippines.

Boracay Island was selected to where the first Russian Kiteboarding and Windsurfing Camp will be held. Kiteboarding is a water sport of speed and altitude but aside from the thrill of kiteboarding, it provides a novel way to take in the fabulous scenic views of the Philippine islands paradise especially Boracay. This was exactly what travel journalists together with leading Russian journalists, tourists from Moscow and Vladivostok and sports enthusiasts were given a taste of.

San Antonio, Zambales Philippines Will Be Showcased as a Tourist Destination

In San Antonio, Zambales, local government and tourism-related business joined forces and created the San Antonio Municipal Tourism Council to be the main group to plan and showcased the town as a primary tourist destination. This effort is to boost up the tourism industry in this town of Zambales. The council will plan and formulate programs in tourism on how they can showcase the town’s tourist attraction and destination.

4th National Skimboarding Competition in Leyte Philippines is a Big Success

Tanauan, Leyte, the Skimboarding capital of the Philippines, successfully hosted the 4th National Skimboarding Competition. Roque Tiu who is the mayor of Tanauan, Leyte proudly announced the big success of the said competition. Because of this big success of the competition, the mayor also said that there will be two competitions annually, the usual national skimboarding competition which the summer or Easter Sunday Competition and the December Competition will still push through every year.

Palawan was voted by Conde Nast Traveler, a reputable publication and has the largest circulated and most popular travel magazine in the United States. Palawan’s winning points was the magnificent and outstanding natural attractions such as the Tubbataha Reef Marine Park and St. Paul Subterranean River National Park. These two sites are some of the most popular and known tourist attractions and also are listed under the UNESCO’s World Heritage Sites.

The popular US travel magazine, Conde Nast Traveler, is so impressed by Palawan’s 1,200 miles of sugary beaches wrapped around 1,780 pristine islands. This has attracted travelers around the world. Not only that, Palawan is also rich in culture and history. This pristine islands are the sunken land bridges that the Chinese traders used to cross from Borneo.

Cebu as a Convention Center Destination of the Philippines

Cebu is named as the tourism hub of the South especially in the Visayas. Cebu is one of the most progressive and most developed provinces in the Philippines. In the central and southern parts of the Philippines, Cebu is the center of trade, industry and education. Cebu has many things to offer in terms of Tourism. Cebu is one of the provinces that is rich in culture and history. Philippines World-class Health and Wellness Attracts Japanese Ladies

This was reported by the Department of Tourism Team Japan Head Director Benito C. Bengzon Jr. to the Tourism Secretary Joseph Ace H. Durano.

Philippines participation in the 2007 World Travel Fair that was held recently in Tokyo Japan was very successful. The Department of Tourism showcased Philippines as a world-class and exciting health and wellness tourist destination. This is why the Dot are expecting Japanese female travelers to come here to experience the exotic world-class health and wellness products, services and facilities.
