The
Panaad sa Negros festival preparations are still going
on for this year 2008. The Panaad sa Negros which is
dubbed as the "Festival of Festivals" is participated by
13 cities and 19 municipalities of the Province of
Negros Occidental. The much awaited The Panaad sa Negros
festival 2008 will be celebrated on April 26 to May 3,
2008.
The Panaad Park and Stadium will once again open to the
public with lots of exciting events that the local
government units and organized has prepared for the
visitors and locals. The local government unit's
pavilion will again be decorated with display of history
and culture, native products including food, among
others.
In the 2008 Panaad sa Negros festival, there will be a
competition for products that are new and innovative and
will be judge to four categories such as personal
accessories, home accessories, home furnishings, and
processed food. The Panaad sa Negros festival will not
be complete without the "Best of Festival Dances"
Competition on the first day. The Panaad sa Negros
Festival "Best of Festival Dances" will be more
meaningful because of the research on historical roots
and production.
The Panaad sa Negros Festival 2008 have many exciting
competitions to spice up the celebration such as the
Panaad Sports Competition, Banda Diri, Pop Idol, Latin
Dance Competition, Banda Didto - elementary and
secondary levels, Pop Dance Showdown, Panaad Livelihood
Skills Olympics, On-the-Spot Painting Contest,
songwriting competition, folk dance showcasing the
Negrense dances, Composo, and the Search for Lin-ay sang
Negros 2008.
There are still more. The Negros Occidental Technology
and Livelihood Development Center will also scheduled
demonstrations on how to make fashion accessories, hair
gel, detergent powder, herbal oil, whitening lotion and
many more in the Negosyo-to-Go event.
So in this years Panaad sa Negros Festival 2008 in its
15th year will showcase the best of Negrense history and
culture through its songs and dances, aside from its
arts, sports, products and tourism destinations. |
