The
long awaited Baguio City's Panagbenga Festival (Flower
Festival) is just around the corner and people in Baguio
are preparing for the Panagbenga Festival 2008. This is
the 13th version of Baguio's Flower Festival or so
called the Panagbenga Festival 2008 which was launched
last November 30, 2007 at the City Hall lobby. The theme
of the Panagbenga Festival 2008 is "Celebrating 13 years
of Caring" that was attended by City Government
officials and employees.
The Panagbenga Festival 2008 will be celebrated with
many exciting activities. The traditional
flower-inspired activites is expected in this year's
Panagbenga 2008 such as an opening parade, the "Let a
Thousand Flowers Bloom" painting contest, the drum and
lyre competitions, a grand floral parade, a market
encounter, a float parade and "Session Road in Bloom" in
prime places within the city. Other activites are the
Pony Boys Day, the Mr. Panagbenga body-building contest,
a barangay roadside as well as parks landscaping and
beautification contest, a golf tournament, a marathon
and other sports events are also expected during the
flowerfest.
The Panagbenga Festival 2008 is expected to boast the
tourism industry of this province that many tourist and
visitors come here to witness the beauty and experience
the excitement of the festivities. So this years
Panagbenga Festival 2008 will be celebrated bannering a
"One City, One Panagbenga".

FEBRUARY 1 - GRAND OPENING> DRUM AND lYRE AND Street
Dancing, Opening and Blessing of Market Encounter.
FEBRUARY 22-24 - Abanao Nights= nightlife
FEBRUARY 23- GRAND OPENING PARADE> Parade composed of
schools
FEBRUARY 24- PARADE OF FLOATS AND BANDS> most awaited
time which you can see a thousand flowers bloom and the
bands on thier exhibitions
FEBRUARY 24- MARCH 2- SESSION ROAD IN BLOOM> be at our
very own Session Road and have the arts of the city be
urs
MARCH 2- CLOSING CEREMONIES WITH PLAYGROUND
DEMONSTRATIONS AND EXHIBITIONS

hi e travel,
Excited kami taga cebu coz we have representatives
who will be going to baguio to join the flower
festival.And take note, katatapos kang namin nag
join din nga Sinulog Festival, heto na naman kami
at dala dala namin ang phils. Ambassador of Beauty
na si Melanie Marquez para magbigay saya sa taga
Baguio ulit. This is the first time po na si
Melanie will be joining ina fairylandia theme na
suot nya ang floral inspired gown designed by 2
super sikat na designers ng CEbu at yong float
naman, to be disigned by Rodel Silva, one of the
fast rising float designers in Cebu.Mga imported
ang aming mga bisita doon.
So watch out na kayo! plus ther are lots of
surprises na matatanggap nyo from Melanie.
