Bacolod City, the "City of Smiles" is celebrating the weeklong MassKara Festival which has kick off last October 1, 2007 with various daily activities and programs. The highlights of the MassKara will be on October 18 to 21. Bacolod City will highlight the city's tourism, economic and investment attractions and potentials.

In the festivities, the festival organizer which is the Silver MassKara Festival Organization, Inc. will feature the famous MassKara street dancing competition. MassKara is well known as a mardigras style that the dancers wears big colorful masks and colorful costumes.

Many tourist and visitors around the country will come to Bacolod to join and take part in the festivities especially the street dancing competitions and parade. In this year's MassKara Festival, there will be two festival sites , namely the Bacolod public plaza and the reclamation area.
