If you’re spending time Baguio during your vacation in the Philippines, plan to take an expedition to Kabayan. There are tons of great attractions to enjoy right in the city itself, but a trip to Kabayan is a wonderful way to explore the countryside. You’ll enjoy fantastic scenery on the way to Kabayan, and once there you can view the fascinating Mummies of Kabayan.

If you’ll be staying in Manila on your Philippines vacation, plan to take a day trip to Biak-na-Bato National Park. Biak-na-Bato is located on the edge of Bulacan near San Miguel, about two hours drive from Manila. You can arrange to take a guided trip to this incredible Park, spend several hours touring some of its spectacular caves, and return to your hotel in Manila in the evening.
Biak-na-Bato is an historical as well as a scenic outdoors attraction. The Balaong River flows through this mountain gorge, winding through caves and past several sites of historical significance, including ruins of stone fortifications.

If you’re spending time in Manila on your Philippines vacation, take the opportunity to tour nearby Lake Taal. You can easily take a bus or hire a car to make the 1 ½ to 2 hour trip from Manila, spend time at the Lake and return to Manila later in the day.

If you’re interested in touring historical attractions on your Philippines vacation, plan to visit Corregidor Island. This small island is located in the province of Cavite, just south of Bataan province, Luzon.
Corregidor Island at the mouth of Manila Bay has long been valued as a natural fortress due to its unique “tadpole” shape, strategic location, and rocky landscape. It is named for its use as a Spanish registration site for ships entering Manila Bay in the 18th century. Following the Spanish-American War,
Corregidor Island became a U.S. military station, and it was used by General Douglas MacArthur as one of his major defense positions following the Japanese invasion of the Philippines.
