Palawan is on top again and voted as a tourist destination with Best Beaches in all Asia. Palawan was voted by Conde Nast Traveler, a reputable publication and has the largest circulated and most popular travel magazine in the United States. Palawan’s winning points was the magnificent and outstanding natural attractions such as the Tubbataha Reef Marine Park and St. Paul Subterranean River National Park. These two sites are some of the most popular and known tourist attractions and also are listed under the UNESCO’s World Heritage Sites.
The popular US travel magazine, Conde Nast Traveler, is so impressed by Palawan’s 1,200 miles of sugary beaches wrapped around 1,780 pristine islands. This has attracted travelers around the world. Not only that, Palawan is also rich in culture and history. This pristine islands are the sunken land bridges that the Chinese traders used to cross from Borneo.

Philippines is known world wide to have many beautiful white sand beaches, magnificent dive sites, cultural and historical heritage and many natural attractions that could attract tourist. But the Department of Tourism (DoT) also discovered that the country is also a haven of surfing sites. Philippines have a coastline that is twice as long as the United States, with wonderful beaches that are powered by a living and breathing ocean, the country has a very big potential to become as an international surfing destination. the Department of Tourism (DoT) is exploring the places that has big potential for surfing spots.

Cebu is named as the tourism hub of the South especially in the Visayas. Cebu is one of the most progressive and most developed provinces in the Philippines. In the central and southern parts of the Philippines, Cebu is the center of trade, industry and education. Cebu has many things to offer in terms of Tourism. Cebu is one of the provinces that is rich in culture and history. Cebu is also the home of very many historic sites, white sand beach resorts, centuries-old churches, five star luxurious hotels, world-class dive sites, casinos, shopping malls. beautiful golf courses and international airport and seaport.
This is why a world-class convention center called the Cebu International Convention Center (CICC) was build in Cebu in 2006 to host for a large scale indoor and outdoor events. The Cebu International Convention Center (CICC) has opened its door for the 12th ASEAN Summit and East Asia Summit that Cebu was named to host for this events.

The exotic features of the Philippines world-class health and wellness products, services and facilities attracted many Japanese women to come here in the country for health and wellness. This was reported by the Department of Tourism Team Japan Head Director Benito C. Bengzon Jr. to the Tourism Secretary Joseph Ace H. Durano.
Philippines participation in the 2007 World Travel Fair that was held recently in Tokyo Japan was very successful. The Department of Tourism showcased Philippines as a world-class and exciting health and wellness tourist destination. This is why the Dot are expecting Japanese female travelers to come here to experience the exotic world-class health and wellness products, services and facilities.

South Cotabato is one of the province in Mindanao that has a lot to offer in terms of tourism. It is rich in culture, history and natural tourist attraction. That is why the Department of Tourism has its eye on this province to be the next major tourist destination in Mindanao. South Cotabato as a major attraction can help sustain the tourism industry in the Philippines and will help grow the international traveler and investor interest in Mindanao.
The Department of Tourism secretary Joseph Ace Durano said that Davao City has capabilities to host foreign tourist with chartered flights from South Korea, Indonesia and Singapore. With this, the Department of Tourism is exploring other areas of Mindanao that has unexplored tourist spots and natural attractions which can generate interest and economic benefits of tourism.

The Spa Asia Summit is now in it’s third year and Philippines will host the summit which will start today until October 5, 2007. The theme of this year’s summit is “Harnessing Collective Consciousness: Nurturing Growth, Inspiring Change,” which concerns all industry professionals, business owners, and suppliers.
The Spa Asia Summit will be attended by health and wellness experts, practitioners, and officers in companies in related fields. Journalist from leading publications in the United States, United Kingdom, Greece, The Netherlands, Taiwan, Thailand, and Korea will also come here in Manila to join the summit.
