Exchanging long pants for shorts can be fun and relaxing, especially if you’re about to hit the beach. It’s a fact that not all of us have flawless legs but you do not need a perfection permit in order to wear shorts. The following are simple ways to better-looking legs.

1. Moisturize, moisturize.
Dry skin is unhealthy skin while a well-hydrated skin provides protection from the harsh environment. Always apply moisturizer and whatever you choose, apply it while your body id still damp because the water in your body will be sealed, giving you a glow.

2. Do a serious scrub.
A moisturizer can only do so much unless you scrub first. Get rid of the dry, flaky skin by scrubbing or exfoliating it. You can use the good old stone pumice or the commercially available bars and gels.

3. Soften in the shower.
Hydration starts in the shower with the use of cream oils that contains a mix of glycerin, oils and petrolatum which gently cleanse and softens your body.

4. Cover it up.
There are skin blemishes that cannot be removed so it’s best to cover it up. Aside from covering pallor, a tanner will even out the skin tone, hide blemishes and makes everything look a lot better. If you fear that self-tanner is tricky to apply, relax because there are new formulas that makes getting a tan easier than ever.

5. Mask your veins.
Spider and varicose veins can mar the look of your legs. For permanent solutions, ask your doctor about lasers, sclerotherephy and endovenous ablation. These procedures cost a hefty sum but for the mean time, there’s something you can do minimize the look of prominent veins like:

  • stretching
  • refrain form crossing your legs while sitting
  • covering the blemish with leg make up
  • apply a self-tanner to even out the skin tone
  • apply creams that can improve the appearance of capillaries like Hirudoid cream
