Midnight Box Office of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince
The highly popular film Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince from Warner Bros. makes wonders with its magic and hit a box office. At the Wednesday midnight showings in the United States, the latest Harry Potter movie series hit a record of $22.2 million. It even beat the old record holder Batman movie “The Dark Knight” in the Wednesday midnight screenings that earned $18.5 million in 2008.
Paul Dergarabedian, Hollywood.com Box Office President said that “The debut of the Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince portends a huge and potentially record-breaking number for a single-day (box office) gross and best first five-day gross among movies.”
But there are some speculations that some films may steal some of the Potters audience magic such as the popular “Twilight” films. But we will see about that after its first five days in the movies, not only in the US but worldwide.
