Manny Pacquiao Knocks Out Oscar De La Hoya in Eighth Round

Filipinos are celebrating right now because Manny Pacquiao won the fight against Oscar “Golden Boy” De La Hoya in their welterweight Dream Match at the MGM Grand Arena in Las Vegas. Manny Pacquiao is very prepared like a true champion in this fight and gave Oscar De La Hoya something that he could not handle. In the end of the eight round of their fight, Oscar “Golden Boy” De La Hoya has called it quits and referee Tony Weeks declared Manny Pacquiao as the winner by Technical Knockout.
In the fight, De La Hoya’s left eye is closed shut after the eighth round and that is why the fight was stopped. He had no complaints when his corner decided that he had enough. He get up from his stool and walk to the center of the ring to congratulate Manny Pacquiao.
Manny Pacquiao dominated the fight that two of the ringside judge scored all eight round for hime and the third judge has scored round one for Oscar De La Hoya. Manny Pacquiao landed 45 power punches in the seventh round to just four for De La Hoya.
Manny Pacquiao hsa won ninth fight in a row in which he improved his statistcs to 20-1 since 1999, his only loss was in 2005 in a decision against Mexican Erik Morales.
