It's Garden Show Season in the Philippines once again and there are many shows that is held in different parts of the country. Davao City will kick off its Garden Show tomorrow and trade fair at SM City Davao. It is garden season in Davao and this show will run until August 19, 2007. This is one of the highlights of the forthcoming Kadayawan sa Dabaw Festival. The Philippine Orchid Society will also have their Midyear Orchid and Garden Show at the Orchidarium Park in front of Quezon City Hall. This will run from August 30 to September 10. In October, Los Baņos will stage its own garden show and this will open just in time for the Loyalty Day celebration of Los Baņos alumni, students and faculty.

Gardeners and plant enthusiasts all over the country will attend this garden show. In the garden shows, unique plants from the mountains and the species that are not commonly grown by the gardeners is always introduced. You can always look for something interesting that you don't have in your garden. Like if your looking for ferns and other local plants that is only found in Mt. Apo in Davao. You might find some rare varieties of newly introduced ornamental plants in the Orchid show in Quezon City or some interesting plants that are introduced that came from other countries in the Los Baņos garden show.

In the garden show, you will also see the collections of the the top gardeners in the Philippines. New varieties of Plants and flowers will be introduced. and also you can also take advantage of the free lectures and demonstrations which are conducted in most garden shows.
