Japan was hit by an earthquake couple of days before but it didn’t do much damage in the country, but the eathquake didn’t finish there, a powerful earthquake with a magnitude of 8.9 hit again the northeasthern coast of Japan Friday where it unleashed a massive 13-foot (4 meter) tsunami that swept away cars, boats, buildings, houses, farm equipment, and tons of debris. The 8.9 magnitude quake has done major damages to Japan where it burned out buildings and an oil refinery. The burning of houses may be the result to the burst gas pipes that is caused by the earthquake.

A news circulated especially in the web that the former Philippine President Corazon Cojuangco Aquino died at the hospital. It was true that she passed away in the early hours of August 1, 2009.
It was a great loss to Filipino people when Mrs. Corazon Cojuangco Aquino, the former Philippine President and the wife of Benigno Aquino Jr., passed away at 3:18 a.m. on Saturday August 1, 2009. Former President Corazon Aquino is known as the icon of democracy and people power in the Philippines. Because of her, it gave the Philippine People courage to oust President Ferdinand Marcos. Her death was confirmed to the media by Sen. Benigno ‘Noynoy” Aquino III at around 5:15 am at the Makati Medical Center (MMC).

It was believed that the body found inside a steel case was that of the missing body of Rochelle Barrameda’s sister, Ruby Rose Jimenez. According to the investigators of the the National Capital Regional Police Office (NCRPO), they believe that the missing body found was of Ruby Rose Jimenez.

In the seas of Sibuyan, Romblon, Philippines where lies once the biggest and most powerful Japanese battleship, the Musashi warship, that was sunk on October 24, 1944 during World War II. In the province of Romblon, Allied forces unleashed torpedos and bombs to the Musashi warship that lead to its destruction and hit the bottom of the Sibuyan Sea.
But there is a report that this once sunken biggest and powerful Japanese warship will refloat again and will become a tourist attraction. Right now, negotiations are under way for the plan of salvaging the sunken Japanese warship, the Musashi warship. This has develop because a Switzerland-based company, the Swiss Global Connect, has offered the service to salvage the Musashi warship and refloat it.
